Delay taking the baby's first bath for at least 24 hours after cleaning and drying them off.

Wear one or two layers of clothing to keep the infant warmer than an adult, and cover the baby's head with a hat.

Test the infant for jaundice, hearing, and vision issues.

Retain the umbilical cord dry and avoid putting any substances, like as cream, on it.

Retain the infant and mother in the same room and let the infant nurse whenever it pleases.

When the infant is little, try to get as much skin-to-skin contact with them each day.

Before handling the baby, wash your hands with soap and water.
